Potholders are not all the same.
The potholder is 8 inches square and features triangle pockets for your fingers. It is lined with Insul-bright thermal batting to protect the top of your hand from burns and therma-flec insulation (very thick, with an "ironing board" type fabric lining) where the potholder comes most often in contact with the hottest jobs. These materials are heat resistant, but are not fire retardant.
